NSW Premier's Reading Challenge
Every year, children in NSW from Kindergarten to Year 10 are encouraged to take part in the Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC).
The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature.
The 2026 NSW Premier's Reading Challenge is now open and closes on Friday 18 September.
Explore items from each of the Premier's Reading Challenge categories in our catalogue.
Books read throughout the Challenge period are logged using the Student Site.
