Wollondilly Library advocate Kylie Savidge invites you to join her for a FREE talk about the books found at our Library which have supported her spiritual growth and development.

Kylie will share how these books have changed her life and how they may assist you on your own spiritual journey. Bring along an open mind and any discussion questions you may have!

Furoshiki - Japanese Fabric Wrapping 

WHEN: Friday 21st September, 2018
TIME:   11am - 1pm
COST:  $15 per person (includes fabric and light refreshments)*

Furoshiki is the traditional Japanese art of wrapping gifts using fabric. During this workshop, you will learn how to wrap presents of different sizes & shapes - boxes, bottles and spheres - with fabric. A fun, inventive and eco-friendly way of gift-giving!

The cost of the workshop is $15 - this includes fabric you will use on the day (although you are welcome to bring your own fabric, scarves, bandanas, etc if you'd like) and light refreshments. Bring along items you would like to wrap.

Your instructor will be Yoshie Kumagai - a talented designer who has been combining her design skills and Japanese culture to teach Furoshiki workshops in Sydney since 2009. We are very fortunate Yoshie will be visiting Wollondilly Library for this one-off workshop.

Author Talk - Benjamin Stevenson - 'Greenlight'

 Join author Benjamin Stevenson as he discusses his thrilling debut novel 'Greenlight'.

 About 'Greenlight':

In this impeccably plotted thriller, filmmaker Jack Quick makes an editorial choice for his documentary that leads to the release of a convicted man. About the Author:

Benjamin Stevenson is an award-winning and acclaimed stand-up comedian and author. As half of musical comedy duo, The Stevenson Experience, he has sold out shows from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival all the way to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. 

Off-stage, Benjamin has worked for publishing houses and literary agencies both in Australia and USA. He currently works with some of Australia's best-loved authors at Curtis Brown Australia.
